Our client, a major EPCI company specialising in offshore oil production vessels,is currently looking for a Engineering Manager to be based in Singapore.
Engineering Manager-FPSOAcross Singapore
Responsibilities:
- Manage the engineering hub (department) at Singapore, which will focus on Concept studies, FEED engineering and Detailed engineering for FPSO projects and provide engineering support for OSV, PSV projects- Overall engineering manning plan development and execution- Plan and run the department based on the yearly budgets- Ensure through Engineering Project Managers (EPM)s that the overall project engineering and design is in full compliance with the contractual engineering requirements, applicable class and regulatory body requirements; meets overall project objective.- Ensure that the engineering team is made aware of their individual responsibilities for engineering deliverable and that schedule ownership is achieved.- Coordinate with the Project Manager on a regular basis the scope, priorities, progress, areas of concern and required engineering support.Liaison with the yard/team in China.- Overall responsibility for the engineering management process and departmental procedures- Ensure that the relevant tools and software are made available to the project engineering personnel- P/L accountability for the engineering hub
Requirements:
- Engineering degree (Civil / Offshore / Ocean / Mechanical / Electrical / or similar) from an accredited university is required- At least 15 years’ experience in various aspects of engineering for EPCI project execution- At least 5 years’ experience as Engineering Manager or EPM, specifically with focus on FPSOs & mooring systems.- Must be able to speak Mandarin due to constant liaison with the team and yard in China.
