A wheat flour manufacturer located in North Sumatera, a PMA company of a global investment group, is committed to becoming a leader of Wheat Flour Industry in this region.  The company is inviting qualified, experience, bright and dynamic individuals to be part of our dedicated team for the following position:

Research & Development ManagerMedan (Sumatera Utara, Indonesia)

Responsibilities:

Coordinates research and development of wheat flour based products, including formulating flour from various wheat origins.
Develops, implements, reviews and analyzes wheat production method and product to achieve customers’ requirement.
Liaise with Procurement & Marketing team to comprehend and achieve customers’ expectation.
Liaise with Production team to ensure the flour produced meets the determined formulations.
Prepares training program for the junior team members to develop goals and objectives.

Requirements:

At least Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemical Engineering, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
Min. 7 years experience in flour mill industry
Experience in dealing with various origins of wheat (ie. India, Pakistan, and Black Sea) is a plus.
Strong knowledge in flour application in bakery products and noodle products typical to Indonesian market is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and able to engage key decision maker through solutions customization.
Skills in utilizing the lab equipments (Flour Colorimeter, Farinograph AT, Amylograph E, Pekar Test, Centrifuge-for SRC Analysis, Alveo-consistograph, Falling Number, Protein distillation, Digestor, Extensograph, NIR, and other tests)  and interpret the results
